REALTORS® Care About Foster Kids

 

Tampa, June 28, 2006 – The Greater Tampa Association of REALTORS® recently unveiled “Backpacks for Foster Kids” to collect NEW backpacks for foster children from multiple agencies.  All backpacks collected will be distributed through Voices for Children who works with the Guardian ad Litem program and Hillsborough Kids Inc.  This NEW program is a community outreach effort endorsed by Exit KG Realty.

 

Oftentimes, many foster children move weekly…some even daily…using a garbage bag or even a grocery bag and those make a lousy travel companion.  “Backpacks for Foster Kids” collects NEW backpacks, soft-sided suitcases, duffel bags and carry-ons for foster children. With each donation one less child has to use a plastic garbage bag or a grocery bag when it’s time to move.

 

“I am extremely pleased that the Greater Tampa Association of REALTORS® is taking such an active role in helping children in our community,” stated Lisa Semeyn, Director of Voices for Children.

 

“I’m excited that our Association is committed to helping foster kids,” said Brad Monroe, President of the Greater Tampa Association of REALTORS®.  “We are proud that EXIT KG REALTY has taken this need to heart and is an authorized donation center to accept “Backpacks for Foster Kids”.

 

“This program gives children a chance to Be cared about, Be believed in, and have something that…Belongs to them,” said Ken Greene, Owner/Broker Exit KG Realty.
